Adoration & Praise

Immortal Invisible (Roberts and Smith)

Better is One Day (Redman)

Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 7:6-10

“For you are a people holy to the Lord your God.
The Lord your God has chosen you
to be a people for his treasured possession,
out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.
It was not because you were more in number than any other people
that the Lord set his love on you and chose you,
for you were the fewest of all peoples,
but it is because the Lord loves you
and is keeping the oath that he swore to your fathers,
that the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand
and redeemed you from the house of slavery,
from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
Know therefore that the Lord your God is God,
the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love
with those who love him and keep his commandments,
to a thousand generations,
and repays to their face those who hate him,
by destroying them.
He will not be slack with one who hates him.
He will repay him to his face."

Not in Me (Schumacher and Ward)

Gospel & Thanksgiving

Corporate Reading: Heidelberg Catechism Q&A #1

Q: "What is your only comfort in life and death?"
A: "That I am not my own,
but belong with body and soul,
both in life and in death,
to my faithful Saviour Jesus Christ.
He has fully paid for all my sins
with his precious blood,
and has set me free
from all the power of the devil.
He also preserves me in such a way
that without the will of my heavenly Father
not a hair can fall from my head;
indeed, all things must work together
for my salvation.
Therefore, by his Holy Spirit
he also assures me
of eternal life
and makes me heartily willing and ready
from now on to live for him."
